Built under the Frederick Douglass–Susan B. Anthony Bridge after a nearly 20-year effort by local skaters and the city; Phase 1, focused on transition, opened in fall 2020, and a 13,000 sq ft street plaza (Phase 2) was set to follow.

Heads up · Phase 2 construction next door was scheduled to finish in fall 2026 — expect fencing on the south side until it opens.

Bring

  • 12 °C → a layer you can drop by the fence
  • Gusts 35 km/h → keep it low, and watch your board on the deck
  • Always → a helmet (required at many parks and every track), and pads for transition and dirt

How the read works

We track the water on the ground hour by hour, starting two days back. Rain adds to it; sun, wind and dry air take it away (the forecast's evaporation figure, which folds all three together); frost locks it in. Concrete sheds most of a downpour and dries in a couple of hours on a good day. Dirt soaks it up and takes a day or more, and riding it while it's mud ruts it. It's a model, not a camera: shady corners and the bottom of a bowl hold water longer. Weather from Open-Meteo.
