DIY · Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico
read at 19:00 local · weather: open-meteo
A local DIY built by and for skaters over a basketball court in Lomas de Zapopan, also called La Lechera or Parque de Los Duendes; its pool-style Bean Bowl has concrete pool coping and sections over 7 feet deep.
Heads up · The bowl is tight and tricky, so watch the locals' lines first and help keep the spot clean.

Bring
- Damp patches → a towel or a push broom for the bottom of the bowl; skip the wet transition and soft dirt lips
- Always → a helmet (required at many parks and every track), and pads for transition and dirt
- After dark → we don't know if it's lit; bring a light

How the read works
We track the water on the ground hour by hour, starting two days back. Rain adds to it; sun, wind and dry air take it away (the forecast's evaporation figure, which folds all three together); frost locks it in. Concrete sheds most of a downpour and dries in a couple of hours on a good day. Dirt soaks it up and takes a day or more, and riding it while it's mud ruts it. It's a model, not a camera: shady corners and the bottom of a bowl hold water longer. Weather from Open-Meteo.
