🇺🇸Denver Skatepark
Skatepark · Denver, Colorado, United States
read at 19:00 local · weather: open-meteo
Opened in 2001 beside the South Platte River behind Union Station, this free park was billed as the largest public skatepark in the U.S. when it opened and grew to about 60,000 sq ft of bowls and street course; it hosted an X Games event and a Tony Hawk visit in its first year.
Heads up · Open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. under lights; it gets packed on summer evenings and weekend afternoons, and the concrete runs slick, so weekday mornings are calmer.

How the read works
We track the water on the ground hour by hour, starting two days back. Rain adds to it; sun, wind and dry air take it away (the forecast's evaporation figure, which folds all three together); frost locks it in. Concrete sheds most of a downpour and dries in a couple of hours on a good day. Dirt soaks it up and takes a day or more, and riding it while it's mud ruts it. It's a model, not a camera: shady corners and the bottom of a bowl hold water longer. Weather from Open-Meteo.
