Velosolutions built two asphalt tracks at The Landing in late 2020: a pro track of over 300 m with a tunnel, which Velosolutions calls the only one of its kind in North America, and a shorter intermediate track.

Heads up · The pro track is fast and can intimidate young riders; start on the smaller track. Turf edges give softer landings.

Bring

  • Damp patches → a towel or a push broom for the bottom of the bowl; skip the wet transition and soft dirt lips
  • 10 °C → a layer you can drop by the fence
  • Always → a helmet (required at many parks and every track), and pads for transition and dirt
  • After dark → we don't know if it's lit; bring a light

How the read works

We track the water on the ground hour by hour, starting two days back. Rain adds to it; sun, wind and dry air take it away (the forecast's evaporation figure, which folds all three together); frost locks it in. Concrete sheds most of a downpour and dries in a couple of hours on a good day. Dirt soaks it up and takes a day or more, and riding it while it's mud ruts it. It's a model, not a camera: shady corners and the bottom of a bowl hold water longer. Weather from Open-Meteo.
